That district label does not describe every building equally: East Brookfield Elementary (PK–6) ranks at the 47th percentile with 2 stars and David Prouty High (9–12) at the 42nd percentile with 2 stars, while Knox Trail Middle School (5–8) sits at the 22nd percentile and Wire Village School (K–4) at the 15th percentile, both with 1 star.

East Brookfield Elementary is the clearest bright spot. It beats the district in every subject reported and comes close to or passes the state: 39.29% in ELA, 38.10% in math, and 50.00% in science, against state figures of 40.03%, 41.11%, and 40.98%.
