Summary

Summit View Academy is a large PK–8 school in Independence, Kenton County, with 1,324 students. Its results vary notably by grade: fourth grade is a standout, while eighth grade is weaker in several subjects. The most serious concern is SchoolDigger’s very low and falling statewide ranking for special education students: the group’s percentile dropped from 21 in 2024–25 to 5 in 2025–26, compared with 66 for the school overall.

Science is the school’s clearest strength, especially in fourth grade: 67% of fourth graders were proficient, the highest result among nearby Kenton County schools, just above R.C.
