Hancock County Middle School serves 308 students in grades 6–8 in Lewisport, in the Hancock County district. Its most important comparison is with nearby Daviess County Middle School: Hancock’s scores are generally above state averages, but Daviess County scores higher in every subject with a reported comparable result.

Hancock’s clearest strength against the state is eighth-grade Writing: 60% of students were proficient, compared with 48% statewide.
