Stonewall Elementary has consistently performed well, ranking in the top 30% of Stonewall Elementary School for the past several years. The school's strong academic performance is reflected in its high rankings, with Stonewall ranking in the top 30% of Kentucky elementary schools for the past several years. For example, Clays Mill Elementary and Rosa Parks Elementary, which are both within a 2-mile radius of Stonewall, have significantly higher proficiency rates across all subject areas and grade levels.

However, Stonewall Elementary has experienced relatively high chronic absenteeism rates, ranging from 12.5% to 28% over the past few years. This is an area of concern, as high chronic absenteeism can negatively impact student learning and academic outcomes. The school may need to implement targeted strategies to address this issue and improve student attendance. Additionally, Stonewall Elementary has a relatively low percentage of free and reduced-price lunch recipients, ranging from 26.6% to 30.38% over the past few years, which may contribute to the school's strong academic performance.

Open Quote Stonewall isn't perfect, but I challenge any parent to find a school that is. Stonewall's winning attributes are its community support; its long-time principal and staff, which lend stability; its progressive, action-oriented and personalized administration's and teachers' take on the FCPS motto "It's About Kids"; and the generally positive vibe. There are some bad apples, of course, and as a parent of Stonewall students I expect the administration to do necessary pruning. That said, what this school has going for it, coupled with its newly remodeled school building makes this a desirable education environment for your children. Close Quote
