Lincoln Elementary School in Dayton, Kentucky, serves 453 students in prekindergarten through grade 6 in a group of nearby Northern Kentucky schools. The most important concern is that, although Lincoln’s scores exceed those of Dayton Independent in every subject reported, they are generally below nearby-school averages.

Fifth-grade writing is a standout: 41% of students were proficient, compared with 35% statewide, 39% in the district and about 33% at nearby schools.
