Comanche County has one high school, South Central High School, which serves grades 9–12 and enrolls 88 students. Its latest results show proficiency below Kansas rates in all three grade-matched subjects: 11% in 10th-grade ELA versus 41% statewide, 22% in math versus 37%, and 25% in 11th-grade science versus 30%. The most important concern is ELA, where South Central trails the state by 30 percentage points.
