The three schools in Comanche County serve prekindergarten through grade 12 and enroll 322 students: 121 in elementary school, 113 in middle school, and 88 in high school. In 2025–26, the elementary and middle schools were above state rates in all-grades ELA and math, while the high school was below state rates in ELA, math, and science. The clearest concern in the area’s results is the sharp gap between the high school and the two lower-grade schools.

South Central Middle School leads on all-grades results, with 60% proficiency in ELA, 54% in math, and 41% in science; it is 14 points above the state in ELA and 13 points above in math. South Central High School is lowest, at 11% in ELA, 22% in math, and 25% in science—35, 19, and 13 points below state rates, respectively. The middle-to-high-school gap is 49 points in ELA and 32 in math. South Central Elementary School has a notable grade-level contrast: fourth-grade ELA and math are 76% and 67%, respectively, while third-grade results are 36% and 21%.

Recent changes are mixed, with declines at the elementary and high schools offset by gains at the middle school. From 2024–25 to 2025–26, elementary ELA and math fell 10 and 17 points; middle-school ELA and math rose 4 and 8 points; and high-school ELA and math fell 21 and 17 points.
