Summary:
Spring Hill, Kansas, has eight schools: four elementary, two middle and two high schools, with Insight School of Kansas serving grades 7–12 and Kansas Virtual Academy (KSVA) serving K–6. In 2025–26, the average across schools was above the Kansas figure in all three subjects, and six of eight schools beat the state in each subject. But those averages hide a major divide: the two virtual schools were below the state in every subject, while the other six were above it.
Dayton Creek Elementary School led in science at 76% and was effectively tied with Wolf Creek Elementary School for ELA, at 67% each. Forest Spring Middle School led math at 67%, 4 points above Dayton Creek. Dayton Creek’s science result was 11 points above Forest Spring’s. At the lower end, KSVA had the lowest ELA and science results, at 34% and 24%; Insight had the lowest math result, at 11%. The high-school results also differ: Spring Hill High School exceeded the state by 12 points in ELA, 17 in math and 9 in science.
Recent changes are mixed: school averages rose in ELA and math, but the state gained slightly more; science improved relative to the state, with the seven-school average rising 2 points while the state fell 3. SchoolDigger’s reported percentile rose from 69 to 86 for Spring Hill Middle School and from 58 to 76 for Spring Hill Elementary, while KSVA fell from 21 to 9 and Insight from 35 to 22. Context measures do not point to a simple explanation for results: Spring Hill Middle has a lower student–teacher ratio than Forest Spring (10.2 versus 12.7) but lower ELA and math scores; their reported free/reduced-lunch rates are 33% and 14%. Because schools serve different grade spans, same-grade comparisons are most useful when available.
