Summary

Maple Glen Elementary is a PK–4 school serving 632 students in Westfield, Indiana, a fast-growing suburb north of Indianapolis, and it is part of Westfield-Washington Schools. In 2025-26 it ranked 29th out of 1,015 Indiana elementary schools — the 97th percentile, roughly the top 3% in the state — and it is the #2 elementary in its own district behind only Oak Trace Elementary School.

That standing is not a one-year spike. The school climbed from the 88th percentile in 2021-22 to 97th, and its test results beat the district average by 7.5 points in ELA, 13.5 in math, and 4.4 in science, with every tested grade sitting 25–28 points above the state average. Its 4th-grade ELA (70.07) is the highest of the six Westfield elementaries, and its 4th-grade science (69.34) is essentially level with Oak Trace for the top spot. Science, once its only below-district subject, now leads the district. Against Westfield peers spending within about $100 per student of the same amount, Maple Glen leads Washington Woods Elementary School and Monon Trail Elementary School by more than 15 points in ELA. Chronic absenteeism is its standout operational strength at 3.3% — the lowest in the district group, less than half the district rate (8.2%), down about 58% in three years, and better than both Carmel Elementary School and Clay Center Elementary School.

The caveat for families is class size. At 19.1:1, Maple Glen is tied for the highest ratio among the Westfield elementaries and has risen from 16.0 in just two years, while its Westfield peers are staffed at 16–17:1. The school already achieves top-3% results at that size, but the trend is worth watching.
