That is an improvement from its 1-star years in 2021–22 through 2023–24, but the school is still below its pre-pandemic standing, when it sat around the low-40s percentile.

Locally, Tekoppel sits in the middle: it trails West Terrace Elementary School, Cynthia Heights Elementary School, Daniel Wertz Elementary School, and Stringtown Elementary School, but outperforms Joshua Academy, Cedar Hall Community School, Delaware Elementary School, Evans School, Lincoln School, and Glenwood Leadership Academy. Because West Terrace and Cynthia Heights serve much lower-poverty populations, Daniel Wertz and Stringtown are more useful benchmarks: both are moderate-poverty schools that outperform Tekoppel, especially in Math. Notably, Tekoppel spends less per student than several higher-poverty schools it outperforms, suggesting relative efficiency. The most promising levers are targeted ELA and Social Studies improvement and reducing absenteeism.
