Crothersville Community Schools is a small Indiana district with just two schools — Crothersville Elementary School, serving grades PK–5 with 230 students, and Crothersville Junior-Senior High School, serving grades 6–12 with 221 students — together enrolling 451 students, with no standalone middle school or alternative school, and the Crothersville Community Schools district ranks 323rd of 374 in Indiana, at the 14th percentile with a 1-star rating.
Although the two schools are nearly identical in size, spending (about $10,763 vs. $10,596 per student) and student-teacher ratios (15.8 vs. 15.2), their outcomes differ sharply. Crothersville Elementary posts higher all-grade proficiency than the junior-senior high in ELA (30.23% vs. 18.09%) and Math (29.07% vs. 14.89%). Science is low in both (13.64% and 13.33%).
