As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school has the WORST staff. Not all of the staff is bad, but the majority is. Parents get incorrect emails or phone calls from the staff ALL the time. Which is no big deal everyone makes small mistakes, but with all the other issues it makes it more noticeable.

If you want to talk to the school counselor to gain information about your child be it, information about colleges, special programs, expect to do all the research yourself be prepared to keep calling the counselor to see if they have followed up or what information they found out.

The website is so bad. When you do a search for Hampshire High School you can’t find it. You get the d300 website, also http://il.8to18.com/hampshire (which is their sports website) if you click home you get sports. To get to their website Google has their address with directions. You can click on the website link to get to it.
My child took summer school so she/he could finish school early. He/she took two online classes. With the online classes the kids cannot do the classes at home. They have to go to the school every morning and work on the classes. My child finished the online classes early so she/he didn’t need to do back to the school. The school called me with an automated message everyday twice a day for a week in a half to let me know my child has unexcused absences. I called the school and they were aware the system did that, and they told me to ignore it.

I could not register my child for school online because they were having some type of issue with their system. There systems are ALWAYS having issues. Going into the school to get the issue resolved was a fiasco. I am still pissed about that one.
My child needed her/his transcripts for college. I told him/her to go into the school and get them. She/he took it responsibility on his/her own to call the school and see what she/he needed to do to get his/her transcripts. (Proud mom moment!) The women on the phone said just come in to the school and get them. He/her went to the school and they said you have to order then online. Like I said before mistakes happen, but this is not the first of even the second time we have been told misinformation that wastes our time. The staff is so very nice, but all this extra stuff is annoying.

These are just a few things that have happened in the past few months and school has not even started yet! I only write this review in hopes the school reads it and fixes all their issues. I feel like without proper staff, how can the school meet your child’s needs? Very unprofessional. My biggest issue though, is the counselor would never call me back, I always had to track her down. She never gave any solutions to help my child in any way.

Oh one more thing. My child signed up for summer school. They lost the paperwork. She/he had to sign up again. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
