Eagle Ridge School is an elementary school located in Silvis, Illinois, serving grades PK-8 with a total enrollment of 281 students. The school is part of the Carbon Cliff-Barstow School District 36, which is ranked 797 out of 811 districts in Illinois and has a 0-star rating from SchoolDigger.

Eagle Ridge School consistently ranks in the bottom 15% of Illinois elementary schools, with a ranking between 1595 and 1999 out of around 2,000 schools over the past 10 years. The school's performance on state assessments is significantly below the state averages across all grades and subjects, with only 21.7% of students proficient or better in ELA and 9.6% proficient or better in Math in the 2024-2025 school year. Additionally, the school has a high percentage of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, with 98.22% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch in the 2023-2024 school year, and consistently high rates of chronic absenteeism, ranging from 25.4% to 38.5% over the past few years.

Nearby schools, such as Jane Addams Elementary School, Hampton Elementary School, and Colona Grade School, generally perform better academically than Eagle Ridge School, with higher proficiency rates in ELA and Math, as well as lower percentages of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. The combination of low academic performance, high rates of poverty, and high chronic absenteeism suggests that Eagle Ridge School may be facing significant challenges in providing a high-quality education to its students, and addressing these issues will require a concerted effort and a focus on evidence-based strategies to support the school's students and improve their educational outcomes.

Open Quote So my daughter goes to Eagle Ridge school in Silvis near Colona. Since kindergarten she has been bullied and my family and I have reported it to the principal and assistant principal every year. In years past it been all verbal but this year it was physically. Just a few days ago my daughter was physically assaulted by 3 girls while two teachers watched, and nothing happened to the 3 girls. So they next day my child gave the 3 girls the finger and had to sit in the office for the rest of recess, also this day the same 3 girls physically assault another girl. Only for one of the girls to be suspended for 3 days and the other 2 walked away with no punishment. I have decided to remove my daughter from the school and dont plan on taking her back.
The school is acting as if no big deal that my child doesn't feel safe enough at school to come back. This school is unsafe and uncaring of the child that they claim to want to protect, nurture and mold, yet they let kids physically assault other kids, without an consequence. Close Quote
