Summary:
Marquardt School District 15 includes five schools—four elementary schools and one middle school—serving grades PK/K–8, with 2,310 students across the area. In 2025–2026, the schools’ equal-weight average was 45% proficient in ELA, compared with 56% statewide, and 32% in math, compared with 40% statewide. The most important takeaway is that school results vary considerably: the gap between the highest- and lowest-scoring schools was 20 points in ELA and 14 points in math.
Winnebago Elementary is the clearest all-around elementary standout, with 54% proficient in ELA and 40% in math—the top results in both subjects. Its results were 11 and 10 points above the other four schools’ averages, respectively; it matched the state in math and was 3 points below it in ELA. Marquardt Middle School was close behind in ELA at 53%, but its 31% math result was 9 points below the state. At the lower end, Black Hawk Elementary had the lowest ELA score, 34%—22 points below the state—while G Stanley Hall Elementary had the lowest math score, 26%, 14 points below the state.
Average scores edged up from 2024–2025, but the state improved more in ELA, and the district’s average gap widened from 9 to 12 points; the math gap widened slightly. One notable exception was G Stanley Hall’s fifth-grade science result, which jumped 32 points to 48%, slightly above the state. SchoolDigger ranks Winnebago 44th statewide among these elementary schools, compared with Black Hawk at 15th. Resource and income figures offer context, not an explanation: Reskin has the lowest elementary student–teacher ratio at 7.6, while Winnebago and G Stanley Hall have similar ratios of 9.6 and 9.5 but different achievement results. For 2024–2025, the elementary schools reported free/reduced lunch eligible shares ranging from 47% at Winnebago to 64% at Black Hawk and Reskin.
