The three schools in Atwood Heights School District 125 serve preschool through grade 8: Lawn Manor School (PK–2), Meadow Lane School (grades 3–5), and Hamlin Upper Grade Center (grades 6–8). Test scores are available for Meadow Lane and Hamlin, but not Lawn Manor, and the schools’ different grade spans make all-grades comparisons descriptive rather than like-for-like. The clearest area-wide concern is mathematics: both tested schools were about 17–18 percentage points below Illinois in 2025–26.
Hamlin stands out for ELA, while Meadow Lane is lower among the tested schools: their 2025–26 proficiency rates were 64% and 40%, a 23-point gap.
