Summary

Skyview High School is a traditional public high school in Nampa, Idaho, serving 1,146 students in grades 9–12 as part of the Nampa School District. While the district itself ranks in the bottom fifth of Idaho districts, Skyview fares considerably better, placing in the 32nd percentile statewide for 2025–2026 and earning a mid-tier rating. One of Skyview’s biggest academic strengths is English Language Arts. In 2024–2025, 57% of students scored proficient on the ISAT ELA test, well above the district’s 42.2% and the state’s 53.9%. This pattern has held for several years, making literacy a clear anchor for the school.

Math and science are more challenging areas. In 2025–2026, end-of-course math proficiency was 24.2% versus 33.1% statewide, and science was 39.7% versus 41.2% statewide. Skyview does compare favorably to some nearby schools: its science scores were meaningfully higher than Columbia High School’s 29.1%, and its math scores were in the middle among the three large Nampa high schools. However, the school faces equity challenges: ranking data shows male students and low-income students are served less effectively compared to statewide peers, even as overall outcomes remain solid. 3 of my kids have dropped out of this school and went to go on to get their GED due to the poor leadership and high gang affiliation the school has. The dean of the school seems to care more about himself than the students that go there. If you have an issue with your child being bullied he does absolutely nothing about the situation. My oldest was a senior and was forced to drop out 1/2 way through due to these situations and two more have followed. If you want to see your kids graduate DON'T put them in this school!!!!
