Marsh Valley High School

Marsh Valley High School is a small rural school in the tight-knit community of Arimo, Idaho, serving 303 students in grades 9–12 as part of the Marsh Valley Joint District. The district itself carries a strong 4-star rating, but the high school's state ranking has been remarkably volatile. It sat in the 81st percentile in 2021–2022, plunged to the 15th percentile in 2024–2025, then rebounded to the 41st percentile in 2025–2026. With only about 300 students, a single grade cohort can swing these numbers dramatically, so families should be cautious about overinterpreting any one year's ranking.

Academically, reading and writing (ELA) is a consistent bright spot, with proficiency near or above the state average in most recent years. Math and science are shakier. The graduation rate, however, has recovered to 82.5%, matching the state average. Per-pupil spending is $8,519 — more than Century's $7,455 but far less than North Gem High School's $14,799. Bottom line: Marsh Valley offers strong ELA instruction and solid graduation rates, but families should watch whether the recent math and science rebound holds up over the next few years.
