Open Quote A great public neighborhood school. Both my kids are thriving in the Montessori program. Close Quote

Open Quote I LOVE this little school. I live in the HH neighborhood, have my masters in education, am a current educator, and my mother is a former Montessori teacher. My daughter is in the Montessori program she is growing and learning a ton every day. The PTA is very active and the community based feel of the school is unparalleled in this day of large public schools. Our Principal, Dr. Ford, is also very supportive of our Montessori program (which only makes a small percentage of the overall school). I can't speak for the traditional side, but would highly recommend the Montessori program! Close Quote

Open Quote I love our school - the staff really cares about the kids! My children are part of the Montessori program and I feel like they are getting a great education. Both of my kids were fully reading in Kindergarten and they have STEM days every month. Not only are they learning the basics, but they are learning how to think about a problem and problem solve - which is important for the rest of their life. Close Quote

Open Quote This is a wonderful school. There is a great sense of community, a very active PTA, growing interest from parents who don't even have children in the school, either yet, or have had past children. What's even greater, under the leadership of the principal, Dr. Ford, the teachers and students have worked passionately and tirelessly to achieve STEM certification - the first in the Chamblee cluster. My now 8th grader went through Huntley Hills and always speaks of HH with fond memories and my Kindergardener is also loving it. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
