Don’t go to Tech, and this is the short version. Especially if you’re Black. I came in a Trump supporter and left a centrist because the racism there was real. My SGA flyers got ripped down with people saying they’d piss on them, white kids said the N‑word like it was normal, constables talked to us like inmates, teachers tried to drop my grades and admins always backed them. Even writing this I worry they’ll try something. When I told an assistant principal how I felt, she brushed it off and acted like we’re replaceable. Academically it’s worse: 35 percent formative, 65 percent summative, tests nonstop, every class drowning you in work. One 79‑question assignment raised my grade 0.2 percent but failing it would’ve wrecked me. I had to watch teachers so closely my mom once had to send proof I did the work. The stress made me gain weight. Leaving for Seaford somehow feels like an upgrade. Close Quote
