Roton Middle School, part of the Norwalk School District, serves roughly 463 students in grades 6–8 in Norwalk, CT. While the district ranks 113th out of 153 Connecticut districts, Roton itself does considerably better: in 2025–2026, it ranked 135th out of 258 middle schools statewide (48th percentile, 2 stars). Over the past decade, Roton has generally sat near the middle of the state distribution.

Roton's strongest subject areas are 8th grade math and science. In 2025–2026, 8th grade math proficiency was 46.9%, about five points above the state average and nearly 10 points above the Norwalk district.
