For the 2025-2026 school year, it ranks 120th out of 491 Connecticut elementary schools (76th percentile, 4 stars), making it the highest-ranked of the district's three elementary schools — ahead of both Stepney Elementary School and Fawn Hollow Elementary School. But the most striking thing about Monroe is its trajectory: as recently as 2015-2017, it was ranked #5 in the entire state with a 99th-percentile score. Today it is a solid but no longer elite school, while nearby Trumbull schools like Daniels Farm School, Tashua School, and Middlebrook School post scores at the level Monroe once did.
