The Ridgefield School District in Ridgefield, Connecticut serves 4,378 students across 9 schools — one high school, two middle schools, and six elementary schools — and ranks #9 out of 153 districts in the state (94th percentile) with a 5-star rating, a distinction shared by nearly every school in the district.

Barlow Mountain Elementary School is the district's rising star, climbing from #44 to #7 in Connecticut elementary rankings over three years, with 3rd-grade math proficiency at 86.0% and 5th-grade science at 89.1%. Ridgefield High School is the academic anchor, graduating 97.9% of students and posting 11th-grade science proficiency of 75.8% — well above the state's 50.5%. Veterans Park Elementary School remains a compelling equity story, having been ranked #2 in the state in 2023–2024 despite having the district's highest free/reduced lunch rate (12.21%) and largest class sizes. Among middle schools, East Ridge Middle School ranks #12 in the state but has the district's highest chronic absenteeism at 8.0%, while Scotts Ridge Middle School excels in 8th grade, with ELA, math, and science all at 87.5% or higher.
