Colorado Sports Leadership Academy (CSLA) is a PK-8 school in Denver, CO, serving 425 students as part of Westminster Public Schools, a district ranked in the bottom 17% statewide. There are a few bright spots: 6th-grade Math proficiency (26.7%) exceeds the district average, and 8th-grade ELA proficiency (26.9%) nearly matches it. The school also improved from the 0th to the 5th percentile in state rankings year over year. However, 8th-grade Science proficiency sits at just 9.6%, and overall the combination of concentrated poverty, high absenteeism, and low achievement makes CSLA one of the most challenged schools in the Denver area.
