Stellar Elementary School is a K-5 school in Thornton, CO, serving 418 students within the Adams 12 Five Star Schools district. The school's most recent state ranking places it in the 40th percentile (566th out of 943 Colorado elementary schools), a step down from the previous year's 50th-percentile performance. Stellar serves a high-poverty community: 67.9% of students qualified for free or reduced-price lunch in 2024-25, up notably from 55.7% two years earlier. We have our third child in this school and until this year we couldn't have been happier. The new principal has let some members of the staff bully and berate the students here (especially older kids). If you have to send your kids here the Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers are awesome, but move your kids somewhere else after that. Close Quote

Great school for all types of learners. My son went from a low reader to being on grade level. He loves the teachers and the principal. The PTO is a fun group to be a part of. I would highly advise people to send their children to Stellar!! Close Quote
