Fort Collins High School (FCHS) is a large comprehensive public high school in south Fort Collins, Colorado, serving 1,836 students in grades 9–12 as part of the Poudre School District R-1, one of Colorado's top-ranked districts. The school consistently ranks in the top quarter of Colorado high schools, earning a 4-star rating and ranking 71st out of 338 high schools statewide in 2025–2026, with a strong 91.1% graduation rate that has improved steadily from 78.9% in 2020–2021.

FCHS's greatest academic strength is literacy: 79% of 11th graders scored proficient in SAT reading/writing, well above the state average of 60%, and early high school PSAT literacy scores are similarly strong at 81%. Science scores also surged dramatically in 2025–2026, with 52.8% of 11th graders proficient in CMAS science—more than double the state rate—though this follows two years of below-district results. Math remains the school's biggest challenge: only 44% of 11th graders were proficient in SAT math, below the district average of 47%, and this gap persists across grade levels.
