Peak to Peak Charter School is a K-12 charter school in Lafayette, CO, serving 1,447 students within the highly rated Boulder Valley School District No. Re2. Despite its "Alternative" designation, Peak to Peak performs far above both district and state averages across nearly every measure, combining strong test scores with exceptionally low chronic absenteeism (6.6% in 2024–2025 vs. 17.5% district and 28.4% state) and historically very high graduation rates (97.9% in 2021–2022).

It’s not the school that once earned all the accolades.
High school principal is unfriendly and rather uninvolved. Teachers are permitted to infuse their passions and political views into lessons with no oversight. It’s no longer academically rigorous because some teachers believe that high expectations hurt minorities.
It’s a hostile environment for moderate and conservative students. The student’s biggest lesson is how to self censor Close Quote
