Summary:
ZIP code 94025 has seven schools: four elementary, two middle and one high school, with results ranging from well below to well above state proficiency. In 2025–2026, the six schools with results that year averaged 57% in English Language Arts (ELA), 53% in math and 48% in science, compared with state results of 49%, 38% and 36%. The most important finding is the sharp divide between schools: the highest-to-lowest spread was 75 points in ELA, 80 in math and 84 in science.
Oak Knoll Elementary led the latest all-grades results, with 84% in ELA, 85% in math and 87% in science; its science score was 15 points above the next-highest school, Hillview Middle. La Entrada Middle was also strong, scoring 84% in ELA and 82% in math. At the other end, Belle Haven Elementary scored 9% in ELA, 5% in math and 3% in science; Garfield Elementary scored 16%, 20% and 4%, respectively. SchoolDigger ranked Oak Knoll in the 98th percentile, Hillview in the 97th and La Entrada in the 98th, while Belle Haven was in the 0th percentile and Garfield in the 5th.
Recent results show no uniform direction: across the six schools with two years of scores, average ELA was essentially flat, math rose about 2 points and science rose about 1 point. Their advantage over the state narrowed from 8 to 7 points in ELA and 14 to 12 in science, but widened from 14 to 15 in math. School-level changes varied: Garfield’s math rose 12 points even as its science fell 8, while Oak Knoll’s science rose 9 points. Low-income measures also differ: in 2024–2025, free/reduced lunch eligible rates ranged from 6% at Oak Knoll to 95% at Garfield; Belle Haven was 88% and KIPP Valiant Community Prep 91%. Ratios range from 15.5 students per teacher at Hillview to 20.8 at Belle Haven, but they do not sort schools neatly by results. All-grades scores are not grade-adjusted, and KIPP has scores only for 2024–2025.
