Summary:

ZIP code 93060 has 14 schools serving kindergarten through grade 12: nine elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools and one alternative school. The 2025–2026 average across listed schools was 38% proficient in ELA, 29% in math and 20% in science, compared with statewide rates of 49%, 38% and 36%. The clearest takeaway is that results vary sharply from one school to another, so the ZIP-code average does not describe any one school.

Santa Clara Elementary stands out at the top, with 83% proficient in ELA and 80% in math—the highest reported scores in the list. It leads the next-highest school, Olivelands Elementary, by 31 points in ELA and 37 in math; Olivelands scored 52% and 43%, respectively. McKevett Elementary also performed comparatively well, at 43% in ELA, 41% in math and 31% in science. At the lower end, Santa Paula Unified School District Independent Studies had the lowest reported ELA result, 19%, while Renaissance High had 0% in math and the lowest reported science result, 6%. Glen City Elementary led reported science results at 40%; Santa Clara’s science score was suppressed. Santa Paula High is a notable contrast: its graduation rate was 97%, above the state’s 88%, although its proficiency was below state rates in all three subjects.

Across schools, average ELA and math results rose by about 3 points from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, while science slipped by less than 1 point as the state science rate rose by 3 points. SchoolDigger statewide percentile rankings also show longer-term gains for Olivelands and Briggs Elementary, up 28 points each from 2023–2024 to 2025–2026. Income measures offer context but do not explain these differences: in school year 2024–2025, free/reduced lunch eligible students were 93% at Grace Thille Elementary, 87% at McKevett and 84% at Blanchard Elementary, yet their scores differed substantially. Because schools serve different grades and enrollment sizes, families should compare the particular school and grade that fit their child.
