Summary

Tompkins Elementary is a K–5 school serving 615 students in Tehachapi, California, within Tehachapi Unified. In 2025–2026, 32% of students were proficient in English language arts (ELA), 25% in mathematics and 18% in science—below state results in all three subjects. Science is the school’s most serious current academic concern: its result was 18 percentage points below the state.
