George W. Bush Elementary serves 754 students in grades K–8 in Stockton, California, and is part of Stockton Unified. Its clearest academic takeaway is that 2025–2026 proficiency was higher than the district’s in English language arts (ELA), math, and science, but lower than California’s in all three.

ELA is Bush’s strongest subject compared with nearby K–8 schools: it ranked third of five, and its 39% proficiency rate was about 3 points above their average. Math and science also ranked third of five, but Bush’s rates were about 3 and 1 points below those peers’ averages. Chronic absenteeism has declined 11 points since 2021–2022, to 31% in 2025–2026—slightly below the district but 12 points above the state.
