Summary

Chase Avenue Elementary serves 757 students in grades K–6 in El Cajon, in the Cajon Valley Union district, near several other elementary schools. In 2025–26, its all-grade proficiency rates were below district and California rates in English language arts (ELA), math and science. The most important concern is that results are low across all three subjects, with science especially weak: its 7% result was below every nearby school with a comparable score.

Math is Chase’s relative strength, but its score remains well below both benchmarks: 10%, compared with 23% in the district and 38% statewide. The school’s ELA result was 13% versus 31% in the district and 49% statewide; in science, it was 7% versus 24% and 36%.
