Summit Charter Academy is a K–12 alternative school in Porterville serving 2,423 students in the Burton Elementary area. In 2025–2026, 51% of students were proficient in English language arts (ELA), 34% in math and 38% in science. The school also reported a 99% graduation rate and 8% chronic absenteeism.
