Summary

Henderson Elementary serves 398 students in kindergarten through grade 4 in Barstow, a Mojave Desert community, and is part of Barstow Unified. Its clearest academic strength is math compared with its district, but the school’s results remain far below state averages in both math and English language arts (ELA).

Math is Henderson’s stronger subject: in 2025–26, 17% of students were proficient, compared with 11% in the district and 38% statewide.
