Deer Valley High is a large public high school serving grades 9–12 in Antioch, California, with 1,812 students. Its latest results show a sharp academic split: English language arts is near the state level, but math and science lag well behind. Graduation is comparatively strong, at 89% in 2025–26, above the state’s 88% and Antioch Unified’s 82%. The clearest concern for families is attendance: chronic absenteeism was 37%, compared with 18% statewide and 31% in the district.

They have great pathways at this high school. Kids who are there to learn, and stay focused on their education go far since they learn in very difficult learning environment. They need to stop bussing kids from other areas. No support from the school district and teachers do their best. They have to be super dedicated to the kids working there. Close Quote
