Eastside High is a public high school serving grades 9–12 in Lancaster, in the Antelope Valley, with 2,631 students in the Antelope Valley Union High district. Its latest reported graduation rate was 90%, above the district’s 85% and the state’s 88%, while chronic absenteeism was 28%, compared with 18% statewide. The central academic concern is that all three subject results are below state averages, with the widest gap in math: 7% proficiency, 31 points below the state.

Eastside’s clearest academic strength is ELA relative to nearby schools, while math is its weakest subject.
