Blue Oak Charter is a K–8 school in Chico serving 219 students in the Blue Oak Charter District. Chronic absenteeism is a notable concern: 36% of students were chronically absent in 2024–2025, compared with 19% statewide and 9% at Chico Country Day and 20% at Wildflower Open Classroom.
