Marguerita Elementary is a 445-student K–8 school in Alhambra, California, within Alhambra Unified. In 2025–26, its all-grade proficiency rates were above California’s in English language arts (ELA) and math, but below the district average in all three tested subjects. Most importantly, Marguerita had the lowest ELA, math and science proficiency among the nine nearby K–8 schools in its district.

Marguerita’s strongest all-grade result relative to the state was math: 45% proficient, compared with 38% statewide, though the district rate was 55%. ELA was 50%, just above the state’s 49% but below the district’s 64%; science was 35.7%, slightly below the state’s 36.0% and well below the district’s 52%. Its rates trailed the nearby-school averages by 14 points in ELA, 12 in math and 14 in science.
