Summary:
Solano County Office of Education has three schools: one alternative school serving K–12 and two high schools serving grades 7–12. The reported results show different strengths across schools, alongside serious challenges in several measures. Some test results are suppressed or unavailable, so comparisons cover reported figures only. The clearest area-wide concern is that every reported 2025–2026 all-grades proficiency result is below the state result: school scores range from 0% to 18% in math versus 38% statewide, and from 5% to 9% in English language arts (ELA) versus 49% statewide.
Solano County Community has the strongest reported math result, at 18%, compared with 0% at Solano County Juve Detention Facility - Evergreen Academy; in ELA, Evergreen leads with 9% versus Community’s 5%. Community’s reported science result is 8%, against 36% statewide. Graduation rates at Community and Solano County Special Education are 41% and 46%, respectively, compared with 88% statewide. Community’s 59% dropout rate is 51 points above Special Education’s 8%. Chronic absenteeism is also markedly different: Evergreen reports 0%, while Community is at 45% and Special Education at 46%, compared with 18% statewide.
Community’s results improved in ELA and math from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, rising by 1 and 15 percentage points, respectively, while science fell by 5 points. Its SchoolDigger school ranking rose from the 2nd to the 27th percentile; SchoolDigger rates the Solano County Office of Education district one star and ranks it 796th of 968 districts, in the 18th percentile. School size and reported context also differ: Evergreen enrolls 16 students, with a student–teacher ratio of 4 and 81% free/reduced lunch eligible in 2024–2025; Community enrolls 79, has a 16.3 ratio and 48% free/reduced lunch eligible that year. These are observations, not explanations for the schools’ results.
