Summary:

San Jacinto Unified includes 15 schools: 8 elementary, 2 middle and 5 high schools. In 2025–26, the unweighted average proficiency rates were 35% in English Language Arts (ELA), 19% in math and 25% in science, compared with state results of 49%, 38% and 36%. The clearest area-wide takeaway is that math is the weakest relative subject, averaging 19% against 38% statewide.

San Jacinto Middle College High led in ELA at 74% and science at 44%; its ELA score was 11 points above the next-highest school, San Jacinto Leadership Academy - Magnet, and its science score was 8 points above the state. Leadership Academy led math at 35%, though that was still 3 points below the state. At the other end, Mountain View High scored 15% in ELA, 2% in math and 9% in science—34, 37 and 27 points below state results, respectively. Among conventional elementary schools, Megan Cope Elementary had the strongest broad results: 40% in ELA, 28% in math and 29% in science.

Recent movement varies by school: across the district’s schools, average ELA fell 1 point from 2024–25 to 2025–26, while math rose 1 point and science rose 3; the gap to state results widened by about 2 points in ELA and was nearly unchanged in math and science. Park Hill Elementary improved in all three subjects, while Middle College High fell in all three. SchoolDigger rankings also improved for Park Hill, from the 4th to the 13th percentile, and Estudillo Elementary, from the 8th to the 18th. As context, all schools reported free/reduced lunch eligible (FRL) figures for 2024–25: the shares ranged from 81% at Middle College High to 94% at San Jacinto Elementary. Middle College High also reported 100% graduation and 3% chronic absenteeism, but enrolled just 36 students.
