Open Quote Sierra Verde opened it's doors as a STEM academy this year with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. I have taught at this school since it opened in 2001 and have seen positive sweeping changes in the climate here. Teachers are dedicated, hard working, and work with parents to meet the needs of the students. Technology is emphasized with the use of Smartboards, document cameras, 2 computer labs, morning news clips and picture slide shows, and now Eportfolios that will follow the students through each grade. We are an A+ School of Excellence, and have been an Excelling School for 6 years in a row. I cannot wait until my son is old enough to attend this school! Close Quote
