Summary

Quail Run Elementary School is a public elementary school in Tucson, Arizona, serving 570 students in grades PK-6 as part of the Marana Unified District. While the school's overall academic performance, as measured by state assessments, is generally below the district and state averages, Quail Run demonstrates some strengths in supporting certain student subgroups.

Quail Run's proficiency rates in English Language Arts and Mathematics are lower than the district and state averages, but the school performs better for Hispanic students and students with low socioeconomic status compared to their peers in the state. Additionally, the school has a relatively low student-teacher ratio, ranging from 13.7 to 14.2 students per teacher, which is lower than the state average. However, Quail Run's performance is more competitive in certain subgroups, such as male students and Asian students, compared to female students and white students.

When compared to nearby schools, Quail Run's academic performance is generally lower than Coyote Trail Elementary School and Ironwood Elementary School, which are also part of the Marana Unified District. However, Quail Run outperforms the nearby J. Robert Hendricks Elementary School, which is part of the Flowing Wells Unified District, in several academic areas. The school's fluctuating ranking and star ratings over the years suggest the need for ongoing monitoring and targeted interventions to ensure consistent academic growth for all students.

Open Quote I love this school. If your child is falling behind, they WILL notice, and offer free tutoring to bring them back to where they need to be. I feel like my child is safe, and cared for when he's at school. They have a great music program, and offer art classes (which is getting harder to find). The school does a great job at keeping the parents involved, and they're great at encouraging the students to do their best. Close Quote
