The Humboldt Unified District includes nine schools: six elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. In 2025–26, their unweighted all-grades averages were 41% in ELA, matching Arizona’s 41%, and 36% in math, above the state’s 33%. School size and student-teacher ratios do not point to a simple choice: Liberty leads despite a 21.6:1 ratio, while ratios range from 12.8:1 at Lake Valley to 22.6:1 at Bradshaw Mountain High School. Grade-level results can also differ from a school’s overall picture: Humboldt Elementary School is at the state level in all-grades ELA, but its 5th-grade ELA result is 29%, below the state’s 38%.
