Summary:
Arizona Community Development Corporation has three K–8 schools serving 1,988 students, and their 2025–2026 all-grades results vary considerably. The schools average 24% proficiency in English language arts (ELA) and 19% in math, compared with 41% and 33% statewide—a gap of 17 points in ELA and 14 points in math. The most important finding for families is that all three schools are below state results, but the differences between schools are large.
La Paloma Academy (Lakeside) leads in both subjects, with 31% proficiency in ELA and 29% in math; La Paloma Academy-South is lowest, at 15% and 10%. That is a 16-point ELA gap and a 19-point math gap. Lakeside also leads La Paloma Academy by 6 points in ELA and 10 in math. Grade-level leaders vary: La Paloma Academy leads available ELA results in 3rd and 4th grade, while Lakeside leads from 5th through 8th grade; Lakeside leads in most grades with reportable math results, and La Paloma Academy leads in 3rd grade.
SchoolDigger’s latest percentiles are higher than each school’s earlier listed results, but this does not show that proficiency scores rose: Lakeside and La Paloma Academy are at the 29th and 30th percentiles, each 10 points above their 2023–2024 percentiles; South is at the 9th, compared with the 5th in 2021–2022 and 1st in 2022–2023. SchoolDigger gives Lakeside and La Paloma Academy one star each and South zero stars; its rank places La Paloma Academy slightly ahead of Lakeside, despite Lakeside’s higher ELA and math results. Ratios are 22.5 students per teacher at La Paloma Academy, 26.7 at Lakeside, and 29.4 at South, so the lowest ratio does not correspond to the highest scores. Some grade-level results and all free/reduced-lunch rates are unavailable.
