Open Quote My family has had an excellent experience at Pinchbeck. We have two kids that are now in 3rd and 4th grade, and they love it! The staff is excellent and the parents are involved. There is a fine balance of social, economic, and cultural diversity which is an education in the real world. There are other schools in western Henrico County which may have higher test scores, but that alone is not a good measure of a school. Close Quote

Open Quote graduated from there in 2008 (the year they had their best scores). I was bullied a lot, not just by the other students but also by most of my teachers (especially in 5th grade). When I went there it was a mostly white school and if that had played a part in my misery, I won't point the finger. Frankly this school did nothing but limit progress, my mother had taught me multiplication, division, addition and subtraction by the time I was enrolled there in the second grade but I wasn't allowed to use it. My teacher had made me use sticks to add and subtract and yelled at me when I did it through the normal numerical way that was apparently too advanced for my age. Don't enroll at Pinchbeck, the few teachers that were good at teaching have all moved to other schools (from what I've heard) and from the test scores it seems this school has sunk farther.
