Open Quote It was the worst rated school when I use to go there during the late 1980's.During the summer of 1987 a gang of more than 20 members who were mostly black and hispanic beat up my 2 friends very badly almost killing them.Nobody took the incident very seriously or did anything about it.Alot of kids who went to 217 use to come from sutphin blvd and south jamaica. They use to get together forming groups and causing trouble in school. All Iam trying to say is that I had the worst and most traumatic experience at 217.I graduated in 1988.
