Summary

Cole Elementary is a 164-student, PK–6 school in Cheyenne, part of Laramie County School District #1. In 2025–2026, its average proficiency across grades 3–6 was 33% in English language arts (ELA), compared with 58% statewide and 54% in the district; mathematics averaged under 23.45%, compared with 60% statewide and 56% in the district. Fourth-grade science proficiency was 18%, versus 56% statewide and 52% in the district. The most important finding is that results were substantially below state and district levels in every tested subject, with especially large shortfalls in mathematics and science.
