Summary:
Fremont County School District # 2 serves students from prekindergarten through grade 12 at three small schools in the Dubois area of Wyoming: Dubois Elementary (72 students), Dubois Middle School (51), and Dubois High School (59). The strongest overall bright spots are middle-school ELA and science, while math is the clearest concern: across reported grades, the 2025–26 math average was below the state average, with grade 5 elementary math at 23.1% and grade 10 high-school math under 10%.
Dubois Middle School stands out in ELA: all three reported grades beat their state comparisons, averaging 71.7% proficient versus 59.4%, a 12.3-point advantage. Its math results were more mixed, averaging 60% versus 54.6% for the state. Dubois Elementary averaged about the state level in ELA (57.0% versus 56.5%), but results varied sharply by grade: grade 3 ELA was 24.9 points below state, while grade 5 was 15.6 points above. Its grade 5 math result was 37.9 points below state. Dubois High School had ELA above state in grades 9 and 10, and a 92.9% graduation rate versus 83.1% statewide, but grade 10 math was more than 35 points below state. The schools serve different grade spans, so these are comparisons with state results for each grade, not direct same-grade school rankings.
