As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This past year has not been the best year for Madison mostly due to the new principal Mrs. Lauderman. From my understanding this principal transferred from Williamstown. This principal is no Mrs. Mannix which had been the principal for the five years previous. She isn't approachable and I have never see her when dropping off my children in the mornings or picking them up after school. Mrs. Mannix was always available if needed and loved all of the children. Mrs. Mannix welcomed the students into the school each morning and assisted in their dismissal each afternoon. I have never seen the new principal in the mornings or after school. She must be preparing for another one of her boring reduntant morning lectures for the children in the gym. She has lengthy lectures each morning before sending the children into their classrooms. Yet she can't understand why many of the children are inattentive, fidgeting, and or talking with their peers durng her lectures. I couldn't imagine being a five or six year old and listening each morning about the importance of being a leader, blah blah blah. I'm much older and I have difficulty staying focused during her lectures. She focuses on teaching them her morals and values instead of being most concerned with their education. This principal has been a disgrace to the school. She is absolutely ridiculous and I know there are many other parents that are also very upset. The majority of the teachers are still very good but like any other school some are also bad. The school lack its own good leadership yet that is all this principal has talked about this year! Very very concerning!!! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
