Crum Pre K-8 School has shown strong academic performance in recent years, ranking in the top 30% of West Virginia elementary schools in 2024-2025. The school's proficiency rates in mathematics and English language arts are particularly impressive, with the school outperforming the district and state averages across multiple grade levels. While Crum Pre K-8 School has made significant improvements, there are still areas where the school could focus on, such as the performance of its special education students and its science proficiency, which lags behind the district and state averages. However, the school's relatively low student-teacher ratio, ranging from 9.5 to 10.4 over the past few years, may be a contributing factor to its overall success. Compared to nearby schools, such as East Lynn Elementary School and Fort Gay Pre K-8, Crum Pre K-8 School generally outperforms them in both mathematics and English language arts proficiency.

Open Quote My child had the great opportunity to learn from the teachers at Crum throughout her elementary and middle school years. She was more than prepared for high school. I am so thankful for the great teachers and staff at this school. Being from a rural area, our children are not always given the same opportunities as other places. However, I would not have traded her experience for anywhere else. Close Quote
