Both of my children attend VAIS. We love the family like feel and the 50/50 immersion with Mandarin Chinese. The school has great test scores, which the high math scores I attribute to the intuitive math curriculum. The teachers care about the student's success. We even had a call from the principle because my daughter's lunch fell on the floor and it made my daughter sad. I feel like the staff and administration are very invested in making my children's experience the best it can be. Close Quote

My wife and I were pregnant with our first child and shopping for our first house. We started researching school districts and elementary schools, and decided to move to Verona so we could apply to attend VAIS four years later. It's that good. We have never regretted the gamble. My kids grew up in a California then attended a private international school abroad for their first elementary years. When corona hit, we decided to move back to the US and chose to move to Wisconsin specifically because of VAIS. VAIS had the high quality of education, international environment, and bilingual exposure that we were looking for.

We’d never even been to Wisconsin before but got a house in Verona so we could attend this school. It’s now been a year and my kids are VERY happy, excelling both socially and academically. Love the school, the teachers, and the admin. It was definitely a good decision.

This school has been amazing for us so far. My son is a kindergartner with VAIS, he loves his friends and teachers. Teachers are sincerely care and patient with little kids. Staffs are excellent in communication with parents and programs. The parent support and group of mentor are great resources that are available to help new family settles in school routines and activities. Successful, bright and kind kiddos are going to lead the future, they’ll say that VAIS is one of strong foundation that nurtured that attributes. Close Quote

Verona Area International School is a fantastic Mandarin immersion charter school that truly focuses on the success of all students. As a parent to a neurodiverse learner, I can say with absolute certainty that this school goes above and beyond to make sure that all little ones shine bright. Challenges are met with determination, team work, empathy, compassion and respect. Our experience thus far has been nothing short of welcoming and genuine. My child comes home from school saying, "Everyone is different and different is awesome!" It is quite apparent that the principal, teachers and staff here have an undeniable passion for teaching and nurturing. We are so excited to see how much our little learner will grow throughout this school year with the love and support of VAIS on her side. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! Close Quote

The small class sizes, attentive teachers, caring staff, and friendly community are just a few of the things that make Verona Area International School (VAIS) an amazing school. The teachers truly care for each student and try to individualize student teaching to the best of their ability. With a class size of 22 students, the teachers and students become very close. It amazing to watch the connections, caring, and love that is found throughout the school. The 5th graders also can become part of the safety patrol that helps younger students who are lost, upset, or having trouble. The school encourages leadership, independence, and caring helping students become strong individuals with great respect and care for the community. Close Quote

I have two kiddos that attend VAIS. I have been so impressed by the teachers. My kiddos have learned so much! They do half their day in Chinese and half their day in English and have all the extra curricular programs such art, music and PE. I am so glad that we picked VAIS as our school. Close Quote
